Living the Vision
Good To Great: Living the Vision is the first step in imagining and planning the future of our school system. It is a series of continuous improvement strategies that provide us with the opportunity to maximize academic achievement and prepare our students for global citizenship.
Good to Great Workgoups:
Curriculum
Belief Statement: We have high expectations for our students and teachers. Our comprehensive curriculum is challenging and relevant for all students. It is aligned to New Hampshire and Common Core State Standards and designed to prepare our students for success in the global community. We have aligned the curriculum as it is written, taught, and most importantly, learned.
Assessment
Belief Statement: A quality comprehensive assessment plan will support curriculum, drive instruction, and ensure the continuity of learning. It is necessary that all teachers understand what good instruction looks like and how data informed decisions enhance student achievement.
Allocation of Resources
Belief Statement: All students will meet or exceed high academic standards. This work group will seek opportunities to maximize student educational growth. Working within fiscally sound means, we will evaluate our utilization of time and human resources while exploring the ability to think and see beyond the present time and beyond the usual options.
Instruction
Belief Statement: Effective instruction is the heart of a great school. It is great instruction that pushes students to think critically, delve deeper into material, stay connected to learning, take risks, become independent thinkers and learners, and apply what is learned to the world around them. It is necessary that all teachers understand what good instruction looks like and how it should be applied in all classrooms.
